This is Pete.

Pete is a Penguin.

Pete is from Penguin Park. 

Pete has a sister named Patty, and his 

parents are named Patrick and Pam.

Pete's parents told him that they had to move 

because Patrick got a new job at the Power 

Plant in Panda Place.

This made Pete very sad.

On the drive to Panda Place, Pete worried that it 

would be hard for him to make friends in a new 

place. What if the pandas didn't like him?

As soon as Pete got to Panda Place, he could 

tell that fitting in would be hard.

The pandas looked very different from Pete.

Before the first day of school, Pete and his mom 

Pam went on a walk. Pam told Pete that he would 

be just fine if he made sure to be himself.

The next day, Pete went to 

Panda Place School for his 

first day of third grade.

Pete was surprised to find that his teacher, 

Miss Penny, was a pig! She was different 

from the pandas just like Pete was.

When playtime began, Pete felt shy 

and decided to play alone. 

Miss Penny noticed Pete playing alone and walked up 

to him. "Pete, why aren't you playing with the 

pandas?", she asked.
