''Magic IS real!''
''NO, it isn't!''
John and Luke were arguing about magic.
Luke thought magic was real but, John didn't and it
was causing an argument between the two friends.

They were yelling at each other so angrily
that Fuffy, John's cat, and his dog Spot, who
would normally be at each others throats, were
hiding in the same corner.
Bam! Bam! Bam! There was a knock on
the door. ''Who is it?'', they both yelled like an
angry storm, for their argument had just been
interrupted.

Just then a man with the king's crest on
his robe walked through the door.
''I am a messenger for King Joe the third
and I have a message from him to you.''
''What is it?'', Luke asked.
''The king has summoned you to the
castle to fight in his army.''

''OK, I'll go'', Luke said.
Secretly Luke thought he would need magic to win the
battles. Luke did not think he had the ability to do it by
himself.
Luke decided he would go on a quest for magic
items before the battle. " If only I could find a wizard to
enchant my weapons" said Luke.

Just then smoked started to fill the air. It was so
smokey that Luke could not see anything. When the
smoke cleared, Luke saw a man in front of him. It was a
wizard!
"I am Wizard Not-A-Wizard, come to my house, for I
know what you seek." said the man.

As they approached the house, Luke noticed the
house looked like a strange castle. When they opened
the door, Luke saw small yellow birds dancing in the
bird cage. Best of all he saw sparkling pieces of armor
and weapons and they looked... MAGICAL!
"Are you selling these items?" Luke asked the
Wizard.
"Depending on what you will pay for them," he
replied.
''All the the pearls in the sea and all the gold in the
land!'' Luke said with excitement.

"Is that really what you will pay?", asked the Wizard.
"No but I will pay you fifty gold coins and I will trade
you my armor and weapons.", replied Luke.
Luke left with his new magical sword, shield, bow,
arrows and helmet. Then he saw the battle raging at
the bottom of the hill. It's time to test these in battle
Luke thought.
