                     Chapter 28

Once Jason got to the sawmill he saw Jamie at 

the sawmill and said "I thought you left?" 

"We belong here Jason" said Jamie. 

They started working at the

 sawmill to build the hotel.

After they finished the wood for the hotel 

they headed to town and they saw a adorable 

puppy.

"He's so cute Jason"said Jamie.

Jason said "how much are the the puppies?"

The man in the white coat said "$4.00"

"Jason can we get one Jason?"

"I guess so Jamie" 

They headed back to Jason's cabin.

Once Jason and Jamie got to the cabin Jason 

said "you and your dad can stay here."

Jamie said "are you sure because we can stay 

somewhere else."

Jason insisted on them staying and Jamie said 

"I guess we can!"

"Thank you so much Jason we appreciate it 

Jason."

                          Chapter 29

The next day Jason and Jamie were talking about 

what to name the puppy. Jason finally thought of a 

name. Xena came to mind. 

"she was a warrior princess," he said. 

"Jason" Jamie said. "My dads sick can you help 

him."

"How much is the medication?" asked Jason.

"$10.00" Jamie replied. 

"$10.00!"WOW Jamie that's a lot of 

money."Jason replied.

Three weeks later Jamie's dads passes 

away.

Jamie decided to move to her cousin's in 

chicago.

"Jason insisted for her to stay and" Jamie 

said i don't think i can stay were my father 

died."

Jason watched Jamie go away on a scow. 

"Goodbye Jason Hawthorn!" 

"Goodbye Jamie!"

"Come back soon!"
