not have to live in caves Nick!
Now we use mud bricks that are
packed together to live in. We also
add stones or tree branches to
strengthen our houses too.

live in permanent shelters instead
of temporary shelters. This allows
us to get more work done faster, such
as getting food, supplies, and building
houses.

These changes are important because with permanent shelters, people were
protected by harsh weather and wild animals. With permanent shelters it also
made life more comfortable and helped people find new ways to cook. With this
permanent shelters also enabled longer lasting houses and created large
communities.
In the Paleolithic Age, people would live in caves
or rough, tent-like structures. They lived in
temporary shelters because they would follow
cattle and had to find new crops.

In the Paleolithic Age people would hunt and gather food. Hunting was
dangerous though, and could get people hurt or killed. Gathering food was not
a stable food supply because the plants would take a while to grow and
harvest.

could grow our own food by
collecting and planting the
seeds of plants. This is what
we call agriculture. Agriculture
is the growing of crops and training
animals.

learned how to obtain
sheep, goats and cattle.
These animals allowed
us to have food,wool, milk,
and animals for pulling plows.
These changes are
important because
without a stable food
supply people would go
hungry. Once the
Neolithic people found
ways to get more food
people could be healthy
and not go hungry.

In the Paleolithic Age people would use resources like animals and plants
instead of trading to get items they needed. Since they did not have trade they
could not get very many valuable items or enough food to feed everyone.

can make better things with
materials that we got.We liked
to trade because we could enhance
the strength and beauty of the objects
we made.Right Nick?

We would travel hundreds
of miles to get these
materials by foot,riding
donkeys, and sailing.
These changes are important because with the growth of trade, the Neolithic people
could get more resources to make different things. Trade also allowed them to be able to
get to know people from distant places.
