Physical therapy:
What is physical therapy? Physical therapy means
the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by
physical methods such as massage, heat
treatment, and exercise rather than by drugs.
Physical therapy (or physiotherapy) often
abbreviated PT, is a health care profession
primarily concerned with the remediation of
impairments and disabilities and the promotion of
mobility. Physical therapy includes a lot of different
things you need to do. Education, Duties and
responsibilities, observing patients and new time
physical therapists, preparing patients, work
environments, and the pay.
Education:
In order to become a physical therapist, you must
first graduate from a physical therapist educational
program with a master's or doctoral degree. Expect
to take courses in biology, chemistry and physics.
There are numerous colleges to go to, to get very
good education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
What are the duties and the responsibilities of a
physical therapist? There are many different duties
of physical therapists.
• Diagnose patients’ dysfunctional movements by
watching them stand or walk and by listening to
their concerns, among other methods
• Set up a plan for their patients, outlining the
patient’s goals and the planned treatment.
• Use exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on-
therapy, and equipment to ease patients’ pain and
to help them increase their ability to move.
• Evaluate a patients’ progress, modifying a
treatment plan and trying new treatments as
needed.
• Educate patients and their families about what to
expect during recovery from injury and illness and
how best to cope with what happens.
• Physical therapy work to restore movement and
feeling to the muscles of patients who have suffered
an accident, illness disease.
