There are fifty states in America and 

each state is unique in its own way

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, 

Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, 

Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, 

Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North 

Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South 

Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, 

Wisconsin, Wyoming.

New York contains the largest city in the country: New York 

City.   Over 8 million people live in New York City!   It is home 

to Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park.

Florida has a total of 663 miles of beaches.   It is typically 

warm year-round and an ideal spot for family vacations!  

Disney World is also located in Florida.

Texas is one of the largest states in America and is located in 

the South.   It contains deserts and is usually hot year-round.  

Texas also borders Mexico.

Alaska and Hawaii were the last two states to be admitted into 

the United States.   They are also the only two states that are 

not connected to the other 48 states.   Alaska is up north and 

borders Canada, while Hawaii is an island in the Pacific Ocean.
