Let's visit our eTwinning friends...

Etwin and Ning are siblings who live in Belgium. They have a lot of friends not only in
Hungary but also in Poland, Greece and Turkey that’s why they have always wanted to visit
their friends. They have decided to travel to Hungary by plane. On Friday their flight took off
early morning. Etwin and Ning flew almost two hours from Brussels to Budapest They arrived
at Liszt Ferenc Airport at 9 a.m. They were very glad because their eTwinning friends met
them and took them to Hélia Hotel on the bank of the River Danube.

Anyway, Budapest is the capital city and a busy metropolis. It is divided into two parts by the River Danube: Buda and Pest. It is an attractive city and popular holiday destination.
Tourists can enjoy a lot of wonderful sights and they never get bored with visiting them.
There are many interesting sights in Budapest, such as the Buda Castle and its surroundings,
the Fishermen’s Bastion, Matthias Church, Heroes’ Square, Margaret Island, the fascinating
Parliament Building, the Opera House, Gellért Hill and St.Stephen’s Basilica. Chain Bridge is the oldest and most beautiful bridge which also attracts many tourists.

On Saturday Etwin and Ning were walking around the City Park which is also popular, as it is the largest open space in Budapest. Later they visited the Music House.
After concert they were hungry and they wanted to eat some national dishes. They went
to famous Gundel Restaurant and ordered some Hungarian specialities like Goulash soup,
noodles with beef stew and for dessert some Hortobágyi pancakes.
In the evening Etwin and Ning went swimming to Lukács spa. In Hungary there are about 150
spas.

Hmm..
.
The second most popular tourist destination is Lake Balaton, the biggest lake in
Central Europe. Etwin and Ning were invited to Lake Balaton by their Hungarian friends.
They spent some days there. Of course, the siblings attended the Balaton Sound music
festival, too.
Anyway, it is known for hosting the greatest artists and DJs in the pop and electronic world.

After leaving Lake Balaton, Etwin and Ning wanted to visit some sites that are part of the World Heritage and thus they are famous all over the world, for example the Caves of the Aggtelek Karst, Hortobágy National Park.
On their way home Etwin and Ning bought some souvenirs for their friends like Rubik’s
Cube or Magic Cube. On Sunday they said goodbye to their Hungarian friends because
they wanted to continue their journey
to other countries, such as Poland, Greece and Turkey.

Have a nice travelling Etwin and Ning!

One a sunny day, Ning answered a phone call - it was Lidia, her friend from Poland.
- Hi Ning!, How are you and Etwin? Maybe you can come and visit me in Poland this week?
- We're good Lidia, thank you. We would love to go! See you then!
When they all met, they had great fun. First, Lidia showed them two amazing water and theme parks. The first - Suntago - is near Warsaw, the capital of Poland. And the other is also the biggest in Europe - Energylandia in Zator. There are as many as 18 rollercoasters.

After having lots of fun, it was time to see some sights. So Lidia took their friends to Wrocław. There is a marvelous Japanese garden and many sights to see, including Panorama Racławicka. Throughout Wroclaw you can see hidden dwarfs because the legends of Wroclaw tell about them. There are 360 of them all over Wrocław.

- Lydia, you've got many beautiful cities to visit in Poland. But we are tired now. - said Etwin.
- That's true - replied Lydia. So maybe we could go to the Tatra mountains. There you can relax.
- It's a great idea! - said Ning. We can relax, and then go hiking and eat some famous Oscypki - sheep cheese made only in Tatra mountains.

- The view of Tatra Mountains is marvelous - said Ning.
- You're right - replied Lydia. But we have to go to the last point of your journey to Poland. It's a castle in Moszna. It's got 365 rooms and 99 towers! It's amazing!
There are many beautiful castles in Poland, most of them are museums now.
Near the Baltic Sea, in a town called Malbork, there's also a stunning castle. But we will visit it on your next journey to Poland.
Now, it's time to say goodbye.
- Have a nice trip Ning and Twin! - said Lydia.

Maidens Tower Legend
According to legend, she was the daughter of one of the Byzantine kings and a prophecy was made about the girl. The princess would be stung to death by an 18-year-old snake. Hearing this, the king restored the tower on the island in the middle of the sea and turned it into an area where the princess could live. When the princess was 18 years old, the snake, which was hidden in a grape basket brought by the servants, reached the island and killed the princess by inserting.
E- What a sad story
N- I feel sorry for the king's daughter
H- I was very sad when I first heard it too.
E- Where are we going now ?
H- To the Sultanahmet mosque.
In addition, since Ahmet I wanted this mosque to be at the forefront of art as well as architecture, he agreed with Architect Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa, who is both an architect and a mother-of-pearl master. Mehmet Ağa was aware that his work would compete with two important giants such as Süleymaniye and Hagia Sophia. This sweet competition emerged in the Blue Mosque, where art and vitality can be seen at every point
N- I see the mosque for the first time in my life and this place looks awesome.
H- What do you think Etwin ?
E- I liked too
H- That's it for day. Do you like this little trip ?
N and E- Yes we like so much !
H- See you again !
N and E - See you !
