Once upon a time there was a peaceful rain 

forest with hundreds of friendly, caring and 

beautiful animals. However, also living in the 

peaceful rain forest was a mean horrible 

animal named Bearzilla. All the other animals 

stayed away from Bearzilla because he was 

such a mean animal. Whenever the animals 

would see him coming their way, they all 

would run as fast as lightning to get away from 

Bearzilla.

One summer day the animals were out playing 

and enjoying the warm sunny day when 

Bearzilla charged towards them and screamed, 

"I am going to destroy you all!" The animals 

frantically scattered throughout the rain forest. 

A few of the animals ran into Leopard and 

Monkey and one of the animals screamed 

"Help! Help! Bearzilla is trying to destroy us! 

Run for your life!" Both Monkey and Leopard 

quickly ran to get away from the horrible 

animal. Bearzilla stuck his chest out with pride 

because he felt as though he was the boldest 

and meanest animal in the forest. He then 

proudly darted off into the forest to his lonely 

dark cave. 

As the day went on Bearzilla realized that 

he was all alone in his lonely dark cave. 

All of a sudden he felt very sad and lonely. 

Bearzilla wished he had a friend. He 

questioned himself as to why he never had 

any friends. He thought, and thought, and 

thought, finally he told himself that for once 

in his life he will try to be a nicer and kinder 

animal, especially if he wanted to have a 

friend. 

The next day Bearzilla went into the forest to 

seek out the other animals. He really wanted 

to tell them how sorry he was for being such a 

horrible and mean animal to them. Over the 

hilltop, Bearzilla saw Monkey and Leopard 

playing tag. Oh! How he wanted so badly to go 

and enjoy the fun. After thinking long and 

hard, Bearzilla decided to join the two animals. 

Monkey and Leopard were having so much fun 

that at first they didn't see Bearzilla coming 

towards them!

Leopard looked up for a brief moment and saw 

Bearzilla rapidly charging towards them. 

Leopard's eyes got as big as a quarter and he 

yelled frantically to Monkey, "Run! Run! 

Bearzilla is coming for us!' Both Monkey and 

Leopard quickly darted off. They wanted to warn 

the other animals that the mean horrible 

Bearzilla was coming but before they could 

make it deep into the forest, they heard 

Bearzilla sadly yell "Hey guys come back, I just 

came to say I'm sorry. Please don't run away!"
