Once upon a time, there were two best friends 

living in the forest. One was a bird named 

Jordan and one was a rabbit named Remy. 

They both went to Forest Town High School 

with their good friend Raven the wolf.

Jordan, Remy, and Raven hung out together 

all the time. Jordan would always go over to 

Remy and Raven's house after work.

One day, Jordan showed up at Remy's house 

to hang out. He noticed Remy was standing 

outside smoking a cigarette. Remy asked if 

Jordan wanted to try one. He said that they 

were really cool. Jordan, knowing that 

cigarettes were bad, immediately said no.

Soon after, Raven came outside and saw Remy 

and Jordan arguing about smoking. Raven 

tried to get them to calm down and told Remy 

that he needed to stop smoking. But Remy 

was too stubborn. After Raven went back 

inside, and everything had calmed down, 

Remy once again extended the offer to Jordan. 

Jordan didn't want to try smoking, but he 

wanted to look cool like Remy. He knew it was 

a bad idea, but he just couldn't say no to his 

best friend. He didn't think he would like 

cigarettes and get addicted.

But, after the first one, Jordan wanted another. 

He thought they tasted good and made him 

feel funny. Soon, he realized that he was 

spending a lot of money on cigarettes. Then it 

got worse. One day, when he tried to fly to 

Remy's house to smoke, he noticed his lungs 

hurt and he was short of breath when he tried 

to fly so he had to walk from now on.

When he arrived at Raven's house, he noticed 

Remy wasn't there. He searched around the 

house until he found Raven. Jordan asked, 

“Where’s Remy? He said he wanted to hang 

earlier.” That's when Raven told Jordan that 

Remy was hospitalized last night. Right then, 

Jordan started running to the hospital. He 

thought to himself as he was gasping for air, 

“This is terrible! My lungs hurt so badly. 

Smoking really messed up my life.” When 

Jordan finally got to the hospital, he asked the 

secretary what room Remy was in. The 

secretary replied, “I’m so sorry, he passed 

away this morning.” Jordan asked, “How?”
