Liam has always had a
passion for art. He loves
drawing dogs and boats
and trees and people and
cats.
His grandfather is a very
famous painter, and for
Liam’s birthday, he
decided to give him a
special pencil off his
collection.
“This is the most valuable
pencil I have, Liam. Take
good care of it.” He said.

Liam went home and
immediately started
drawing. He drew dogs
and boats and trees and
people and cats, but
this time they jumped
out of the paper. Liam
had a magic pencil!

Liam called his friends and
they all wanted to see for
themselves. As soon as they
came over, they started
requesting things for him to
draw for them.
“A castle!” one demanded.
“A parrot!” another begged.
“A splash slide!” a few
pleaded.
“A crown!” another desired.

Liam drew all of their
wishes. By his tenth
drawing, the magic pencil
measured less than half
with what he started
with.
By his twentieth drawing,
the pencil couldn’t be
sharpened anymore. It
was too small! Liam was
upset because he never
got to draw something
for himself.

As he handed out all
the presents he had
drawn to his friends,
they were all too
excited to notice that
Liam was sad.
“What’s wrong?” asked
Scott.
“I didn’t get to draw
anything for myself.”
Replied Liam.
“That’s no problem! We
can share!” Said Scott.

And just like that,
all of Liam’s
friends shared
their presents
with him.
Liam was glad
they enjoyed
their drawings,
and he was glad
to have such
good friends.
