I am a fish

I swim in a brook

I need to be careful when I

see a hook.

I am a frog

 on a lily pad

when you hear my song

you will know I am glad.

I am a beaver 

I will build you a dam

I am very smart

 that's what I am.

I am a duck

 swimming on water 

Oh look!

 I see an otter.

I am an otter

 I swim there too

I play all day

 what do you do?    

I am a robin

see my orange breast

Sometimes I have

 blue eggs in my nest.

I am a cardinal

can you see I wear red

from the tip of my tail

 to my quite pointed head?

I am a hummingbird

so tiny and fast

 you can hardly see me

 as I fly past.

I am a heron

I'm taller than you

 I wade in the water

 and fish in there too!

I am an owl

 I say "who"

that is my greeting

 when I see you.

I am a cow

 and have just one word

 That is "moo"

 I'm part of a herd.

I am a pig

and live in a sty

I like being muddy

I don't know why.

I am a rooster

I live on a farm

When It's time to get up

I'll sound the alarm.

I am a chicken

And eggs I will lay

So you can have breakfast

To start off your day.

I am a goat 

and really quite tame 

They call me Billy

Do you like that name?

I am a cat

I wash and I purr 

I have different colored

long or short fur.

I am a dog

and will beg for a bone

I don't want to be left alone!

Tied up to the dock

I'll give you a ride

we might even rock.
