Function of the Nervous System
-The spinal cord network of nerve cells and fiber that
transmits nerve impulses between parts of the body.
- Act as the sensor and controls center of many
systems.
- The central nervous system is the brain and the
spinal cord. The brain receives information and sends
it to the peripheral nervous system.
- The peripheral nervous system's job is to correct the
control nervous system to the organs, limbs, and skin
to allow or complex movements and behaviors.

Myelin Sheath
- The purpose of the myelin sheath is to allow electrical
impulses to transmit quickly and efficiently along the
nerve cells. If myelin is damaged, the impulses slow
down. This can cause diseases such as multiple
sclerosis.

Celebrum
- The main purpose of the celebrum is to provide high
mental functions. The celebrum is divided into six lobes
that control your emotions, movement, understanding,
visual, and hearing.

Cerebellum
- The main purpose of the cerebellum is to receive
information from the sensory system, the spinal cord,
and other parts of the brain and to regulate motor
movements like posture, balance, and speech.

Diencephalon
- The main purpose of the diencephalon is to directing
sense impulses throughout the body, autonomic function
control, endocrine function control, motor function
control, and the homeostasis. It is located between the
cerebral hemispheres, superior to the midbrain.
