We're Here
Our space dogs are far out into space. They're actually right there.

They're orbiting around the Earth in their spaceship. But today's different. Today is...

Doggo's Birthday!! They gather around and celebrate together.

"Oh no!" said Puggo, "the lights went out." Doggo suggests that they go and fix the lights. Bulldoggo decides to stay in.

Doggo and Puggo go fix the lights by using the energy from the solar panels.

" What are these big, blue panels? " Puggo asks. "These are solar panels," said Doggo, " They collect and store energy from the sun's rays."

The way the solar panels collect energy is by the sun's light rays. These travel on waves and go through wavelengths. They can either travel through transverse waves (like these) or longitudinal waves.

The Sun in our solar system pulls all of our planets into orbit. For Earth, it provides us light and heat.

Our Sun is made up of hydrogen and helium and it produces so much white light. It is white light because it reflects all the colors of the rainbow.

NUCLEAR FUSION

HEAT
LIGHT
The hydrogen atoms combine and make helium which produce the light and heat that we see or feel from the Sun. This is called Nuclear Fusion.

The energy that we collected from the Sun light up our house and the day. But light does not only affect that but also color too!

On the visible spectrum, we see a rainbow. But the red shirt absorbs all the colors except red. So the red wavelength is reflected at our eye and we see a red shirt!
For Example...

But the light doesn't only just come from the Sun. It comes from the stars or galaxies in space. From Earth, we may think we only see stars but it actually might be...

A GALAXY!! Where tons of other planets and stars could be found.

" I think the lights are fixed," said Doggo, "let's go inside."
