When Sally Synonym wanted 

something sweet to eat, she 

found lots of tasty and delicious 

desserts.

When Ally Antonym wanted 

something sweet to eat, all she 

could find were things that were 

bitter and sour. 

Homework was effortless 

and manageable for Sally 

Synonym...

but homework for Ally 

Antonym was sometimes 

strenuous but other times it 

was easy.

"Why do I have to be so 

different?" thought Ally 

Antonym. She just wanted 

to fit into the crowd with 

everyone else and be just 

the same. While everyone 

was always exciting and 

animated, she was either 

energized or worn out. She 

did not feel like trying 

anymore.

Sally Synonym saw how 

discouraged and 

confused Ally Antonym 

was. She decided to find a 

way to help and 

encourage Ally to feel 

better about being 

different.

On a bright and sunny afternoon, Sally Synonym 

took Ally Antonym out for the day to show her a 

numerous amount of things that are different in 

this world.

On their journey Sally Synonym asked Ally Antonym 

different questions about the things they saw. 

Sally Synonym asked, "Did you know that horses can 

be big or small? Did you know they can also be tall or 

short?"
