Old Polish legend about the Basilisk
Once upon a time in Warsaw lived father with two children – a boy and a girl.
One day the children decided to go alone to the old town.
Just do not go into these old ruins!
- said their father, because the terrifying monster lives there.
This is a Basilisk. It lives in an old cellar.
Who it looks at, he turns into stone.
Many daredevils tried to kill the Basilisk, but they all turned into stone.
Children are in danger!
I wonder what's in this old cellar – said boy. Maybe there is a lot of gold. Let’s go!
Oh no! The Basilisk! Help!
Let's hide somewhere! I don't want be a stone like this man!
Twilight fell and the children did not return home.
I'll go look for them, I do hope that they are safe - said father.
I think I know where they went.
I'll take a mirror with me
