The stone was discovered at the Premier No.2 mine in Cullinan, near Pretoria in South Africa on 26 January 1905

What is the size of the diamond?

In its uncut state, the Cullinan Diamond weighed 3,106 metric carats which are almost 621.2 grams! It was approximately 10.1 centimeters (4.0 in) long, 6.35 centimeters (2.50 in) wide and 5.9 centimeters (2.3 in) deep.
