Ege and Celine were friends who lived in different cities and met in an international English project. Celine loved to play volleyball. She was a crazy and funny girl. She was a beautiful girl with short hair and fair skin. Ege, on the other hand, was tall, curly-haired, white, and handsome, He liked listening to music and playing the guitar. They both used the internet very well. They were already seeing each other through video chat and chat. Their common traits strengthened their friendship, they laughed and had fun every day. Despite the distance between them, their friendship did not know the distance. They dreamed of meeting face to face, chatting, and having fun again in anything they could imagine. Also, by studying in video chats, their school success was increasing.

One day when Celine was at school, she saw a banner at school about a volleyball tournament which was in 1 week. She was so excited about it and she asked her P.E teacher if she could join. Her P.E teacher said he was expecting her to ask and accepted her to the tournament. When She came home from school she told her about the tournament to her parents and Ege. It was the volleyball tournament day. She was really happy she could join and be ready to do all she can.

Unfortunately, her team lost the tournament. She felt like she was going to cry, she decided to sit somewhere. While she’s sitting, someone sat next to Celine. Celine raised her head and realized it was Ege who sat next to her. Celine was incredibly shocked. Ege had planned to visit Celine on the tournament day. Celine was sad that she had lost the game but she became happy when she saw Ege. A good friend is evident in the dark day! They wanted to talk about the things they want to do together but Celine was hungry after the game.

They went to a café to eat some food. While they’re ordering what they want a friend of Celine who’s named Elif saw Celine and went near her. Elif was a tall girl. she had long blue hair. her eyes were brown and her lips were pink. Celine introduced Ege to Elif and told about how they met. Elif seemed upset and she told Celine she wanted to join a science competition but she didn’t have any partners. Ege told them birds of a feather flock together because he knew one of his friends also wanted to join that science competition. He explained it to Elif and they gave Alex a phone call who’s a friend of Ege. Ege and Alex were friends who speak the same language. Alex said he’ll come to the city tomorrow.

After Elif left Ege and Celine went to the amusement park and had fun. The next day after Alex came to the city they all met together. Alex was a short boy with long hair and blue eyes. Celine wanted to talk with Elif, she said: ‘’A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are. You have been in love with science ever since we’re friends and you study hard. I know that you can win, if you can’t I’ll still be supporting you.’’ They studied science a little bit together and Elif and Alex entered the competition at 4 p.m. They had won the competition. Celine and Ege congratulated their friends and they agreed on celebrating it. They went to the cinema. After the cinema, Elif told her friends about how she’s got discriminated against by them and left. 

They thought she needed some time alone and they didn’t follow her. After few minutes had passed, the electricity went out. Alex told his friends it will be okay but Celine was worried about her friend Elif. She tried to reach out to Elif but she couldn’t.

They studied science a little bit together and Elif and Alex entered the competition at 4 p.m. They had won the competition. Celine and Ege congratulated their friends and they agreed on celebrating it. They went to the cinema. After the cinema, Elif told her friends about how she’s got discriminated against by them and left.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

They checked Elif’s house to see if Elif came to the house but they noticed she has not came to the house yet. They get worried more over time. Celine remembered Elif wanted to go camping days ago so she told her friends and they went to check the camping area. They realized Elif had been there because her tent was there but she wasn’t. They divided into single groups to find Elif. They all ended up on the cliff and with no hint from Elif. Celine started to cry on the cliff and her friends wanted to make her relax. 

Absense makes the heart grow fonder

Elif saw her friends looking out for her. She ran to Celine and hugged her with a bouquet. Celine realized a friend is one of the best things you can be and the greatest things you can have. Elif talked about she had been mad at them for a while but she felt alone without her friends. Alex and Ege went to the hotel after that and Celine and Elif went to Elif’s house. The next day they went to the museum and library together…

    In fact, this incident brought them closer to each other, they were meeting more than before. They realized how much they needed each other. They were doing everything as a group of four now.

    After 4 months, Celine won the world championship in volleyball and they celebrated it with great fun as a group and that night they promised each other that they would never give up their friendship.

    They continued their communication every time. They sometimes called each other on the phone, sometimes had a meeting on zoom. They followed each other on social media and liked their photos. They could speak the same language because friendship means sharing. Day by day their friendship strengthened. They often imagined their future life. Ege's ambition was to be a doctor. Celine's dream was to attend the faculty of Law. Alex and Elif wanted to go faculty of engineering. They helped each other while they were studying for exams. Because teamwork makes the dream work. They had one goal, then. They would get into the same university and live in the same city.

A perfect idea that became reality over time. They all fulfilled their dreams and turned into responsible adults. But one of the most important thing for them remains their friendship. They continue to support each other, to share their achievements but also their failures. They may not always have the same views, but they continue to express their opinions, respect each other, and most of all to trust each other. They are in different places but friendship is the bridge that connects them.
