What is the atomic theory?

The atomic theory tells us what everything in the whole world is made of! Everything is made up of tiny little dots called atoms!

Mr. Bohr was a very smart science man who liked to help other people learn about the atomic theory! 

A long long time ago, in 1913, Mr. Bohr made a theory that when an atom gets really really "excited", little parts of an atom get all jumpy and move from one circle to another!

Broglie was also a nice science man who liked to help his science friends learn new things.

Broglie told all his friends about how matter is super cool, and it likes to act like waves!

Mr. Rutherford did a whole lot of science work, and he learned a lot, which he shared with others so they could learn too!

Mr. Rutherford made a huge discovery! He realized that every little atom had a dot called a nucleus, and it was even MORE tiny!

Chadwick learned a lot on his journey as a science man! A long long time ago, in 1932, Chadwick taught everyone that these little things called neutrons exist!

Democritus was a science man a very long time ago, all the way back in 460 BC. He was the very first person to say that atoms exist! 

He also told people about how the whole world was created!

Mr. Schrodinger learned a lot about science and electrons, which he taught to his friends. 

Mr. Schrodinger realized that electrons were always moving and didn't have a fixed position in an atom!

Mr. Dalton made a huge discovery way back in 1803. He realized that every single atom of an element is exactly the same! Isn't that cool?
