Before reading, I suggest reading the books The Story of Tofu, Matilda's Adventure,  So Many Things that Went Wrong, and also The Story of the Little Cat by Teewinot Summer. The jokes and characters are based on those stories.

"I'm so excited to see Theresa!" 

Matilda and Carlos were walking to Theresa's house. 

    "I don't even want to be doing this," complained Carlos. "Theresa never liked me."

    "Well mom said you had to come with me, so HA!" said Matilda. They kept walking.

YAAY!

*Sigh* At least I can wade in water

Theresa lived in a nice house next to the ocean. 

They got there, rung the bell, and Theresa stepped outside. "Matilda!" she cried happily.

The two girls hugged.

"No hi for me?" Carlos asked. 

They ignored him.

"Of course," he mumbled. 

This is Jeff, my little brother.

Hi!

Hi, Jeff

So, what do you want to do?" asked Matilda.

Suddenly a little boy walked out of the house.

"Hold on, Matilda. This is my little brother. I'm alone here with him, and I hired some babysitters to watch him while were hanging out," explained Theresa. "We just need to wait until they get here."

Two girls suddenly came by. "There they are!" exclaimed Theresa.

"Hi!" said a girl with dark blond hair. "Theresa, right?"

"Yup!"

"I'm Max and that's Laila," said the other girl.

"I'm Matilda," said Matilda, "and that's my brother Carlos."

"I got a cake to thank you guys," said Theresa to Max and Laila. "I appreciate that you came on such short notice. In fact, here comes the delivery guy now."

"Oh my gosh," gasped Laila, looking at the cake crate. "Is that the company I think it is..."

"And is that the guy I think it is..." gasped Max.
