Anna and Austin were very excited to go to the park today. It was a beautiful day, and the sun was shining brighter than ever.

On their way to the park, Anna was telling Austin about all about the cool things that she was learning in her math class. 

Have you ever heard of lines of symmetry,” asked Anna.

No, but its sound really fun!

“If an object has a line of symmetry, that means that you can draw a line down the middle of that object, and it looks the exact same on both sides.”

Anna got very excited and started to tell Austin all about lines of symmetry.

“That sounds interesting, but what objects even have lines of symmetry?”

“They are everywhere,” Anna exclaimed! She reached in her pocket pulled out a small heart-shaped piece of paper. “Look, if I fold this paper right down the middle, the heart folds on top of itself.

“Oh! Now I get it,” Austin said, very excited.

As Anna and Austin arrived at the park, they were determined to fine all the lines of symmetry that they could.
