Dear Student,
Being created in the image of God includes the ability to create and communicate. It is a joy for us to partner with you as you demonstrate this gift from the loving God. We hope this will be the first of many creative projects in your future. Remember, from God’s perspective, you are His creative masterpiece. The Bible says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us new in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us…” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

Dear student, You matter! Your words matter. Your story matters. God has given you a heart and mind to express the vast nuances of life. He gave you an imagination and made you to be creative creatures, full of ideas and dreams. So, the Calvary East family is joyous and eager to join you on this journey and can’t wait to see the stories that unfold from your bright imaginations. Psalm 40:5 Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.

Dear Student, You have faced and overcome challenges this year like no other and should be very proud of yourself. Remember, if you can get through this you can get through anything. There is so much more in store for you, Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Declares the Lord.

Glitter was so happy because she was going to the dog park. This park has huge yellow slides, blue tunnels, and sprinklers where all the dogs meet up to cool down or get a drink. The sky was so deeply blue it felt just like the first day of summer.
She felt the breezy wind ruffle her fur, it felt like touching the ocean for the first time. When Glitter saw the grass, she immediately jumped onto the field from the concrete without hesitation. It felt just as if she was laying on a thickly carpeted floor. She just kept jumping and prancing around like a brand new fish in the sea. Glitter spotted a big yellow slide that looked like a sunflower and she went up.
Her confidence soared and she felt like the king of the world. Until these two dogs came up to her. One looked like a creamy lemon Oreo. She seemed very nice, like a clear summer sky. Her name was Cherry. The other dog looked like a chocolate Oreo. She sounded respectful and kind. Glitter didn’t want to be mean, so she decided to become friends with them! This dog was named Fairy. The two dogs asked if they wanted to play with her. Glitter said, “Of course!” Glitter was so happy because she made friends. She wondered if this could have been the best day of her life because of all the new and exciting things that were happening.
After that, Glitter Couldn't stop going to the park to see her friends! This one day, Glitter came to the park a bit late and noticed it was closed for construction. She got really sad, but then saw Cherry and Fairy. She noticed they were hanging out more than usual. She went up to them and they started to just scatter away. Glitter was very confused. She just thought that they were gonna plan her birthday that is coming up in a few days. So she didn’t think much of it!
The next morning Glitter was yippy yappy happy about her birthday! She saw the park was open and went. Sadly she did not see Cherry and Fairy when she got there. Instead, she saw a nice little white kitten. Her fur looked nice, and it felt like a warm blanket right out of the dryer. She looked at Glitter and said,
“Yes, little pup?”
“Oh, your fur! It feels very nice!”
“Yours does too little pup! You probably had to do one thousand things to make it that nice!”
“Thank you very much.” After her and glitter had a conversation, she got her name, Carrie.
Glitter said, ``Would you like to come to my birthday party or do you have a gazillion things to do?”
“Of course!” She was so appreciative.
