March 18 Çanakkale Victory
WHAT IS THE MEANING AND IMPORTANCE OF THE 18 MARCH ÇANAKKALE VICTORY AND MEMORIAL DAY OF THE MEMORIALS?
The meaning and importance of the 18 March Çanakkale Victory, in which we won a historic victory despite difficult conditions and great losses, left unforgettable traces from the past to the present.
The struggle of the heroic Turkish army on the Dardanelles Front was at a level that would affect the course of not only Turkish history but also the history of the whole world. The victory on this front has changed the power balance of the world countries and once again revealed the decisive and guiding power of the great Turkish nation. The determination, hope and determination given to the Anatolian people by the Dardanelles Front also ignited the torch of the War of Independence. Çanakkale is a "mausoleum" that will forever remind us how determined and heroic the Turkish nation is when it comes to independence and freedom. Because the Turkish army has skillfully used its superior combat tactics against a superior force in terms of weapon power. However, the history of world war has witnessed that the Turkish soldiers in Çanakkale didn’t lose their humanity even on the battlefields and showed mercy even to their enemy.March 18 is a blessed day when we remember the great people who reached the position of martyrdom by protecting the holy homeland at the cost of their lives, and offer our gratitude .That is why, on 27.06.2002, with the law numbered 4768, 18 March was accepted as the Martyrs' Day.
When our soldiers, who started a separate epic in each trench, conclude their sacred struggle against the enemy with victory, "Çanakkale cannot be passed!" has printed its policy indelible
30 August Victory Day
After the World War 1, the west side of Turkey was occupied by Greece. The invaders remained in the country for two years.
However the Turkish army stopped this progress with the "Sakarya Field Battle" under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1921. Then, in August 1922, the "Great Offensive" started.
Four days after the attack started, that is, on August 30, the "Commander-in-Chief Field Battle" took place. After this battle, the enemy began to retreat.
On October 11, 1922, the "Mudanya Armistice Treaty" was signed. Finally in July 24,1923, the Treaty of Lausanne was signed, the war ended officially, and Turkey has provided its independence all over the world (again).
This victory of the Turks under the leadership of Atatürk is celebrated in our country every year as "30 August Victory Day".

Ramadan
Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and heightened devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. The fast begins at dawn and ends at sunset. In addition to abstaining from eating and drinking during this time, Muslims avoid sinful speech and behaviour during Ramadan fasting or month. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose of cleansing the soul by freeing it from harmful impurities. Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them to practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity.
Muslims also believe fasting helps instill compassion for the food-insecure poor people.
