To anyone who needs an imaginary friend.

This is a story about a little girl named Lia.
Lia loved lots of things.
Lia loved cookies.
Lia loved dancing.
Most of all, Lia loved to play.

Lia loved all types of play.
She loved playing with her friends at school.
She loved playing with new friends at the park.
Lia would play dress up, play mommy or even play superheroes.
Lia would play any chance she gets.

Until one day, Lia learned that she was not able to go back to school or the playground.
Everything was closed because of the new coronavirus disease.
This made Lia very sad.
She has no brothers or sisters at home, so who would she play with?

Days went by and Lia got bored of playing all by herself.
Mommy and Daddy were busy working from home.
Lia didn’t know what to do!
Up until now, all 5 years of Lia’s life have been so...fun! Now, they were boring as could be.

Until one day, Blob appeared!
In Lia’s playroom, a blue monster showed up.
Lia, a little scared, asked, “Who are you?”
“I’m Blob! I’m here to keep you company during this quarantine!” Blob said.

Blob did not look like Lia’s other friends she made at school or at the park.
Blob was shorter than Lia.
He didn’t have any legs, just a trail of blue slime.
He even had 4 eyes!
But, he said he would play with Lia, and that was enough for her.

Lia ran downstairs to her Mom and Dad with Blob right beside her.
“Mommy! Daddy! Look, I made a new friend! This is Blob.”, Lia said to her parents.

Lia’s Mom and Dad looked around the kitchen and said to Lia, “We don’t see your friend. You are making things up!”
“No! Blob is right here! Don’t you guys see him?” Lia asked her parents.
