My beloved family, especially to my loving parents, for their words of encouragement and each of whom has a special place in my heart.

John Robin D. Aranas is a child rights advocate and has over seven years of experience in community consultation and advocacy work for children’s rights. He is an undergraduate student of Bachelor in Social Science Education under the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences of the Philippine Normal University-Manila. In 2013, he founded a child-led organization in Cavite with its primary mission of promoting child-friendly communities for every Filipino child. Currently, he is the Auditor of the Philippine Normal University – UNESCO Club, the Financial Committee Head of PNU – Faculty of Behavioral and Social Science Executive Committee, and new vice-president Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Kasaysayan – PNU.
Week 1
This week, local organizers and I initiated a community pantry in our barangay garden. We were able to serve more or less than 50 families on our first operation. After receiving the goods, we heard the people saying, "Thank you, Ma'am/Sir," which was enough for us to know that we have touched their lives, even just for a day.
