Hi! My name is Delilah. I'm 6 years old and I have hearing aids. I got them when I was 3 months old.  I also have a hearing teacher and a microphone system that helps me hear at school.

There's a girl named Delilah in my class. She's lucky because she has hearing aids and gets help! I wonder how I can get that. I need a plan...

School is going great, except there is a bully in my class who is always bothering me.  His name is Grant. I call him "Grinchy Grant," because he is so mean.

I have an idea!! In class, I am purposely not going to follow directions. I am going to see if Mrs. Lyons notices me struggling.

I am not giving up that easily. Today Delilah is showing her microphone at Show and Tell. She is in for a big surprise!!!

 I am so excited to have a turn at Show and Tell today. I can’t wait for everyone to see how my microphone works.  I will pass it around the room for all the kids to see.

Mom, it's a microphone that this girl named Delilah uses in my class. It looked cool and I wanted to play with it.

I told you Grant was mean. I should have suspected it was him.  I forgive him, but what an odd thing to steal. Why would he want my microphone? Hmmm....

I hate the cafeteria! It's always so noisy and I never know what's going on. I can't even hear my friends talk!
