 In 1331, a small village Płowce and its surroundings became the arena of a battle between Poles and the Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary.

Zespół Szkół RCKU in Przemystka

The battle ended with the victory of Polish knights. Almost five hundred years later, a stone monument appeared on this site. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the I World War.

For several years now, with the psrticipation of thousands of spectators, a historical spectacle has been held at the foot of the monument - the staging of the memorable battle of the Polish Knights with the Teutonic Knights.

During this feast, little girls can buy head wreaths characteristic of the ladies of that time. The boys can buy bows and swords and play knights.

Folk dance competitions are held.

Traditional Cherry Festival is celebrated in the month of June every year.

The Best Cherry’ competitions are held.

 We have the pleasure to inform you that  Bursa International Karagöz, Puppet and Shadow Theater Festival.Originally a Central Asian Turkish tradition, Karagöz shadow-puppet theatre developed in Bursa and spread throughout the Ottoman Empire. This festival has been held every 2 years in November-December since 1993.

The festival aims to encourage people from different countries and cultures to come together and share their values with each other.

In addition to the best known traditional shadow play Hacivat and Karagöz, examples from all around the world are introduced, exhibited, and workshops on puppet and shadow play are formed to show how this art is performed.
