Health system of Costa Rica.

Costa Rica ranks among the six countries in the world with the best health care in the world 2019, according to the International Living qualifier and published last January 23rd by Summa Magazine in its digital format. Jennifer Stevens, executive editor of International Living, expressed that "health care is one of the most important factors that potential expatriates consider before moving".
About the country, the publication highlights that by almost any standard, Costa Rica has some of the best healthcare services in Latin America.
There are two systems, both of which expatriates can access: the government-run universal healthcare system, Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social, known as Caja, and the private system.
Both health systems are constantly being upgraded: new hospitals, new equipment, and improvements in staff training.

All countries should pursue this same health system, to provide the best to everyone, they should not ignore the health of the people, as it is something very important and that all health personnel should always deliver their 100%, If they were more concerned about improving their health system, things would be totally different.
Most of the damage to health in Costa Rica is caused by diseases of the circulatory system and cancer. Heart attacks and ischemic heart disease are the leading causes of death in both sexes. Cancer is responsible for 20% of all deaths. From 1995 to date, there has been a 48% increase in incidence rates for all types of cancer. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed malignant tumor among women. In 2009, almost three new cases were diagnosed daily. Chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract and hypertensive diseases are also frequent causes of death in women. Among men, traffic accidents are the leading cause of death.

Structure.
Personal health services are provided in the public sector, the private sector and a diffuse mixed sector. The public sector is dominated by the CCSS, the main provider of personal services. The Ministry of Health (MS), as the system's governing body, and the institutions attached to it, such as the Education and Nutrition Centers (CEN), the Children's Nutrition and Food Centers (CINAI) and the Institute of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction (IAFA), serve populations with nutritional deficiencies and problems of addiction to psychoactive substances, respectively.

The private subsector includes private medical services, five insurance companies, cooperatives (non-profit organizations contracted by the CCSS), self-management companies, clinics, and private hospitals.
The National Insurance Institute (INS) operates in both the public and private sectors, and is responsible for occupational and traffic risk coverage, and for providing related hospital medical and trauma rehabilitation services.
The Political Constitution of Costa Rica defines as inalienable the right of workers to protection against the risks of illness through social security. The General Health Law defines the health of the population as a good of public interest and stipulates that it is an essential function of the State to ensure the health of Costa Ricans by guaranteeing the right to health benefits to all inhabitants of the country.

Habitual lifestyle in Costa Rica.

You'll find tight-knit expat communities throughout Costa Rica, and it's easy to understand why so many foreigners choose to make this Central American country their home. Whether you want to spend your free time going on volcano or jungle adventures with new friends; or simply relaxing in a hammock on a beach with a beer and a book, Costa Rica offers a fantastic lifestyle for those looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the world and the simple pleasures of life. We went by bus on occasions to visit this place.

Costa Rica also offers a varied lifestyle that will ensure that you never get bored; you can just as easily walk to the local farmers market to buy fresh and affordable produce. or driving down a modern highway to a large shopping mall or luxury chain stores.

In the same way, you can fill your days with activities, such as fishing, hiking, surfing or diving; Or you can choose to sunbathe on the beach, maybe take a break to dip your toes in the water and search for shells in the sand. Whatever you choose, the general spirit of Costa Rica is that you should enjoy doing it and live as much of a stress-free existence as possible.

Costa Ricans have one of the longest half-lives in the world, and this longevity is attributed to a philosophy known as 'pura vida'. Although it has become a marketing slogan in recent years, this recipe for a happy and healthy life remains the same and never has a negative connotation.

The beauty of Pura Vida lies in its versatility, and you may start using it after a few weeks too: it can mean 'hello', 'goodbye', 'everything is fine', 'great', 'just like you' . Although it literally means '' pura vida '', it can be more loosely explained as 'enjoying life'. Indicates a joie de vivre that defines the lifestyle you can expect while living in this Central American haven.

Costa Rica is a relatively stable country with an excellent health care system, and this definitely helps explain why Costa Ricans have such a high average life expectancy. Nicoya, which is an isolated peninsula 80 miles south of the Nicaraguan border, is one of the world's five Blue Zones, and residents are reportedly twice as likely as Americans to reach the age of 90, in addition to living healthier and happier lives.
