Rhett was going on a trip to Australia with his mom. He looked out the window at the sandy country.
He arrived in a city called Perth. All the stores sold hats because it was so sunny.
He wasn't interested in buying a hat, but he did see one special store: the pet store! He asked his mom to go in with him.
I can't afford a pet!
Rhett's mom said no because she had no money with her. Rhett felt sad.
Rhett looked at his feet in shame. He saw something he had never seen before... A lizard!
The lizard climbed up onto his shoulder.
Look, Mom! We do not need to buy this one!
Ok!
Rhett took his lizard all the way home to the United States with him.
Rhett named his lizard Steven, and they lived happily ever after.
