José Rizal (1861-1896) is regarded as one of the Philippines' most illustrious individuals. He was a versatile intellectual and political activist most remembered for his political writings, which sparked the Philippine revolution and eventually led to his death by Spanish colonizers.

He didn't hold back when it came to showing his love for both his country and his women. His travels around the Philippines and around the world led to a plethora of partnerships that spanned over half of his life. There are nine women who have been identified. That isn't to suggest that all of those relationships were serious, but he pursued when he wanted to, cared, and unabashedly displayed his attentiveness and charisma.

The first woman is Segunda Katigbak. According to several historians, Segunda Katigbak was Rizal's "puppy love." Katigbak, who came from an affluent Lipa family, was a close friend of Rizal's sister, Olympia Mercado

They met when the young hero and his companion, Mariano Katigbak, Segunda's brother, went to see his grandma. The Katigbaks were close friends with Rizal's grandmother, and Segunda happened to be there when Rizal and Mariano arrived. It was love at first sight for me. Segunda was also a close friend of Rizal's sister Olympia, whom he visited at La Concordia College once a week. They grew to be quite close. Rizal had to abandon his pursuit of Segunda because she was already engaged to be married to a man from her town.

Second is Leonor Valenzuela. Leonor "Orang" Valenzuela, who met Rizal when he was still studying medicine at the prestigious University of Santo Tomas, is one of his many ex-lovers.
Rizal was claimed to have sent Leonor intimate and secret love notes during the courtship, which he penned using invisible ink mixed with water and salt—he was also a chemist. Orang had to heat the letters over a candle or a lamp in order to read them. Rizal also frequented the Valenzuelas' home, which was a popular hangout spot for local students.

Third is Leonor Rivera. They met whilst Rizal become 18 and Leonor become 13, on the boarding residence of Rizal’s uncle in Intramuros, Manila. Leonor become Rizal’s subsequent cousin

At first, it's a perfect love story: he, an intelligent charmer, and she, a beautiful student with a beautiful voice and a talented pianist. Soon they fell in love. But as love progresses, they are surrounded by obstacles. Leonor's parents are extremely opposed to their relationship because they fear Rizal is "an obstacle". In his letters, Rizal calls Leonor "Taimis" to conceal his identity.

The fourth woman is Consuelo Ortiga. Consuelo Ortega Y Rey was the daughter of Wear Pablo Ortiga Y Rey, who was Chairman of Manila when Maria dela Torre was the representative. Whereas Rizal was in Madrid, he would hang out at Wear Pablo’s house, which got to be a put where Filipino understudies would regularly get together. Through one of these social occasions, Rizal met Consuelo.

In spite of the fact that most accounts say the dalliance didn’t turn genuine, Rizal composed a sonnet for her, entitled, “A La Señorita C.O.y.P.” Of course, these days, once you compose a lyric for somebody, that’s like a marriage proposition. Within the conclusion, Consuelo got locked in to Rizal’s companion, Eduardo de Lete. It is said that Eduardo’s cherish for Consuelo was too the reason Rizal didn’t seek after the mestiza. Or possibly, in advanced speech, theirs was a classic case of a rebound fling.

Fifth is Seiko Usui. Her and Rizal met when the last mentioned was still working at the Spanish Enactment in Tokyo. Their fellowship bloomed after Rizal inquired a nursery worker to present him to O-Sei-San who was shockingly familiar in English and French, two dialects that Rizal knew how to talk.
