civilization. The
Ancient Civilization is a
civilization which has
been gone for centuries.
The level of
advancement of a
civilization is usually
measured by its
progress in agriculture,
art and society.


B is for
Buddhism.
Buddhism is the religion
taught by Buddha. The
scared text for this
religion is Tripitaka.
Missionaries and traders
spread Buddhism and it
is dived into two sects.


C is for
Cuneiform.
Cuneiform was one of
earliest forms of writing. It
was made by denoting
and wedge-shaped
characters.


D is for
dynasty.
Dynasties are the of
hereditary rulers of a
country. The Shang and
Zhou dynasties are both
very important in China.


E is for
Egyptian
civilization.
It was located on the
Nile River, Valley in
North Africa. It had a
strong centralized
government. They had
a polytheistic religion.
They contributed on
knowledge of the
human body through
mummification.


F is for the
Fertile
Crescent.
The Fertile Crescent
was a area of fertile
land in the Middle East
stretching from the Nile
to the Tigris and
Euphrates. It was home
of a lot of civilizations.


G is for the
Gupta Empire.
The Gupta Empire was
an ancient Indian
empire. It promoted
peace and prosperity.
The power was given to
the individuals. They
created the number
writing.


H is for
Hinduism.
Hinduism is another
religion. They had no
founder or scared text. It is
a very complex religion
because of its many
beliefs, gods and
practices.


I is for
India.
India was conquered
by Maurya Emperors.
The caste system was
used to divide
society. Hinduism and
Buddhism were both
big religions. They
developed the
concept of zero.


J is for J is for
Judaism.
Religion practiced by
Israelites, one of the
first civilizations.
Abraham was the
founder.


K is for the
palace of
Knossos.
it had rooms for the
royal family in
Greece. It had
religious shrines and
walls covered with
Frescoes. It was from
the Minoan
Civilization.


L is for
Leonidas.
He was the King of Sparta.
He fought in the Battle of
Thermopylae where The
Spartan forces were able
to fight off the attacks of
the Persians for the first
two days, killing roughly
20,000 of the enemy
troops with very few
losses to their own troops.


M is for
Moksha.
It is the union with
Brahman.
It is part of Hinduism
and is believed the
ultimate goal. If they
do not achieve it, they
reincarnation.


N is four Noble truths.
1. All life is full of suffering, pain, and
sorrow
2. Suffering= desire for riches; power
3. Cure for suffering= overcome
desire
4.Overcome desire= follow and fold
path
