ECE332: Child Development
Infancy: Birth to 12 Months

Dada!
Good morning, Lucy!

Lucy is a six-month-old baby that lives with her dad.
Every morning, Lucy's dad wakes her up, and Lucy looks around the room.
She has just started to babble and talk back when her dad talks to her.
I wonder what kind of things they will do today!

Have you seen my whisk, Lucy?

Breakfast time!
Lucy's dad set out all of the things he needed to cook, but the whisk was gone when he turned around!
Lucy giggles as she passes the whisk from hand to hand.
She must have seen it on the counter and got curious, so she reached her hands out and grabbed it.

Wow! Good job taking bites of your food, Lucy!
Lucy is very excited to eat breakfast!
She quickly grabs her food, and brings it to her mouth for a bite.
Lucy's dad laughs, and she soon laughs too!
I wonder what Lucy and her dad will do next!

Lucy!
It is time to play at the park!
Lucy's dad calls her name to get her attention to see the ball he brought for her!
Lucy loves to look around at the trees and play ball with her dad and their dog Bingo!
Lucy is very curious and likes to reach out for the ball when her dad pushes it near her.
