I dedicate this journal to those people who are like me that pursue their dreams no matter what happens and those who never lose hope to strive and fight for their goals and ambitions in life.

      I also dedicate this to everyone that made successful decisions in their life as well as to those who learned from their misjudgments.

     This is also for those who are interested to know more about me and wants to learn how I decide and what are the factors that I consider in my decision-making that they may also apply to their own life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

    I am Maureen Arabela Oliveros Ismael, 19 years of age, from the City of Navotas. I wrote this journal to record and share my happenings in life as well as my decision-making that is significant in me. 

    This journal will show how I pursue my dreams little by little with the help of my significant decisions in life. 

    This may also serve as an inspiration to everyone especially those who are also pursuers of dreams and those who want to know how I examine every factor that may affect my decisions.

        This week, I have watched the video entitled “Bakit Iba’t-iba ang Ugali ng Bawat Tao?” wherein I have learned a lot of things with regards to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and to be honest, I have seen it from a very different perspective now. Because, before, as I have learned it from school discussions and self-reading, I think that Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is just a theory that discusses the different levels of human needs. But after watching this video, I have learned and realized as well that it is connected to human behavior as every individual possesses different reactions on  the  fulfilment

of  the  specific  level  of  their   needs. Furthermore, every individual develops a certain behavior or characteristic that depends on whether they have managed to fulfill or if they lack a certain level of needs especially when they are in the process of growth and development. Some individual has negative reactions if they lacked that specific need, resulting in negative traits as they grew, while some individuals, on the other hand, react positively to it. 

          As I watch the video, wherein the various levels of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs were discussed, I have realized how important it is for an individual to fulfill each 

need in order to move forward from the most basic to most important needs of a human being. As I have stated earlier, different behaviors originated from an individual’s way of reacting or perceiving the lack of fulfillment of the needs. Furthermore, it is very important to be understanding at all times on the behaviors of various individuals that we encounter in life as their behavior is influenced by their past experiences or even present life situations.

        Individuals will tend to cope up with their experiences in life as  a defense mechanism which  is then  reflected in
