What is an urban legend?
Definition:
An urban legend is a form of modern folklore consisting of stories that their narrators may or may not believe to be true. Like other folklore and myths, the description of urban legends says nothing about the authenticity of those stories.
Typically, urban legends are characterized by some combination of humor, horror, warning, embarrassment, morality, or appeal to empathy. They often have some unexpected twist that is outlandish but just plausible enough to be taken as truth.

Common questions
Does urban legend even exist?
The answer is both yes and no, pretty conflicts, right? Allow me to explain. Despite being based on truth, movies or historical events, nobody has proved any urban legends turn out to be true, or at least almost all of them. But they still exist until this day, this can be explained by the way our brains evolved to learn, remember, and transmit certain types of (mis)information more readily than others.
When did the term “Urban legend” exist?
The term “Urban legend” has appeared in print since at least 1968. The reason they are called urban legends is to distinguish them from more ancient (and therefore supposedly more rural) legends and myths, i.e., they are of modern origin.
That's all you need to know.
Now you can start reading the book without confusion.
One last thing before entering the world of urban legends.
"Be afraid, be very afraid..."
Chapter 01
Gozu (Cow head)

Gozu (Cow head) is a long-standing Japanese horror story. They say the story is considered as the scariest story ever written. According to folk, the story was discovered in about the seventeenth century in Japan, but no one knows its origin. It is said that the story was so horrified and dangerous to be told that all of its records had never been found. Till this day, very few people know about this story because anyone who knows it won’t live long enough to tell.
There have been some rumors about an elementary school teacher who found some segments of Gozu and became obsessed with the story.

It is said that during a school picnic, he had a habit of telling horror stories and this time there is no exception. He only just started on the story when many of the children started screaming, others begging for him to stop. But the weirdest part was the teacher didn’t stop or rather he couldn’t. The surviving children say that the teacher became possessed when he started telling the story, he got these weird blank stare eyes on his face.
After one hour the teacher finally snapped out of the story only to find that the bus had crashed into a ditch. He looked around in horror to see his students had collapsed with foam in their mouths. Nobody knows what happened to the students although we know that at least some of them survived to tell the story and we also know that the teacher never told the story again.
Chapter 02
The Red Room

The Red room is one of the most popular urban legends on the Internet. There's a lot of debate around whether the Red room is real or not, but this is some information that we have found. The Red room is a live channel in a closed room whose wall and floor are painted red. There is more than one victim who are tortured by many ways depend on the viewers’ wish such as sex torture, mental torture, and body torture.

And all of the processes will be broadcasted live. Viewers will pay by Bitcoin to ask the administrator to do what they want. Oh, you want to cut off his legs. That would be 1,000USD. Shoot him in the head? That would be 5,000USD.
So, you might wonder why the government didn’t interfere with this illegal entertainment. Remember, the Red room is a live channel which means that there is not only one Red room in the world, there are multiple ones. Without an address, the authorities have no ideas about where to start.
One anonymous user has shared his experience when entering the Red room with us. He also warned everyone against entering the Red room, you will never know what you are going to witness.

The video he saw was about a family who had been kidnapped. A masked man began to torture and kill every single member. The father was cut off his arms, the mother was raped and cut off all of her four limbs and the last member was the daughter that I didn't want to mention because of its horrified even to readers.
The existence of the Red room is still a mystery to this day, we hope that the government will find the solution to stop this as soon as possible.
