"You can all be a deputy. You can be a minister or even a President. But you cannot be an artist." M.K.Atatürk

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was a great soldier, politician and statesman and also an art lover who packed 11 wars, 24 medals, 7 engagements, 13 books, 1 country and millions of free people into his 57-year life. Especially in his days in Istanbul, he went to the cinema, did not miss important representations, played an important role in the emergence of opera works. He also made one of his real revolutions in the field of culture and art. Ataturk attended the events organized by institutions and organizations to the extent that he could allow time. The proms were the most attended. Ataturk displayed his epic elegance at these proms.

Music was Ataturk's greatest passion for art. He listened to Turkish art and folk music and was interested in folk plays. He not only listened to the local songs, he accompanied them." He used to play folk games like Yellow Zeybek. Rumeli loved his songs. Due to its emphasis on music, the first Music Teacher School was opened on September 1, 1924, and music teachers, military bands and orchestral elements were trained.In 1930, city theaters and the Istanbul Opera Society were established.
