Barney, Our lord and savior

It was a lovely day at the courtyard of the white house, but that didn't matter to Half president George Woofington and his best friend Franklin D. Meow who was the other half president. The two best friends have been friends their entire lives, and they’ve never done anything without the other. It all started one day as they’re walking home, they decided to make a bet, a bet to see who could become president first. At first Franklin was skeptical or in other words unsure. He told George, “ I don’t know George, running for president ain’t easy. Meow.”

“Well sure it won’t be easy George but if we work hard and put our minds to it we can do anything. Woof woof.” And sure enough Franklin was able to convince his best friend George to run for president with him. A few weeks have passed and they’re preparing their speeches they’re going to give to the press to decide who will be the next president of the United States of Animals.

But, one of George’s friends went behind his back to sabotage Franklin. He went around spreading rumors saying; “I once saw Franklin sleeping in an alleyway.” and “I heard franklin lay hairballs the size of my head.” When Franklin heard about this he was boiling with anger and filled with sadness because he thought that it was George's idea to make these rumors about him. He thought his chances of being president dropped to zero.

So he decided he would go up to his friend and give him a piece of his mind but in his head he knew he could never do such a thing to George even after what he thought he did. But he still didn’t want to let this go so he went up to his friend and asked him, “Why George, Why’d you tell everyone that I sleep in alleyways, and that I cough up hairballs the size of peoples’ heads.” When George heard this from Franklin he immediately denied it, “What are you talking about? I would never Franklin, I'm your best friend after all right?”

But at this point Franklin wasn’t so sure, so decided he wasn’t going to give up on running for president in fact he was more motivated than ever. He also felt that George deserved a silent treatment. So when George was being ignored by Franklin, instead of using his anger to get back at Franklin he got an idea,”Maybe if I go talk to him he’ll forgive me.” When he went up to Franklin and said, “Franklin please you have to believe me Franklin I didn’t say anything I swear, Please I miss you Franklin, I miss my best friend.” Franklin was silent at first but deep in his heart he knew he missed his best friend too. They then went on as best friends running for president, and it turns out the press loved both of them so much they made them both half president. And so they went on as Best Friends and Half Presidents of The United States of Animal.
