The Un-happy Nose

Once upon a time, there was a nose, not a regular nose, an un-conformist nose; a sad one. Mrs. Nose thought that everyone was more important than her. When she complained, the other parts told her that she was very important but Mrs. Nose did not believe this.

    "Mr. & Mrs. Foot walk. Mrs. Heart pumps blood to the whole body. Mr. Brain controls all movement," thought Mrs. Nose, sadly: "Everyone's job is better than mine!".

    For a long time, Mrs. Nose had been thinking of a solution. Thinking about this thoroughly, she had an idea.

"I know what to do!" exclaimed Mrs. Nose, "I will ask the important parts of the body to change places with me. That way I will fulfill my dream and be a crucial part of the body!"

The next day Mrs. Nose talked to Mr. & Mrs. Hand. "Good morning!" she said, "I have come to talk to you about my problem and how you could help me out." Mr. & Mrs. Hand seemed surprised, "Good morning! How can we help you?"

"Since a little nose, I always wanted to be a crucial, important part of the body. So I've come to ask you if one you would like to change places with me and become a nose. That way I can become a hand and be an important part of the body." said Mrs. Nose.

"Imagine that! A nose saying it's not important! Sorry, but neither of us can accept the offer" replied Mr. Hand. 

"Besides, you are a little short for a hand and a hand in the middle of the face won't look to good. It'll be in the way!" added Mrs. Hand.

Mrs. Nose was a little upset but she had thought this might happen and had a backup plan.

Then she went to talk to Mr. & Mrs. Ear. "Hello Mr. & Mrs. Ear," said Mrs. Nose, "I have come to see if you will like to help me out of my problem." "Us?" answered Mr. & Mrs. Ear, "How can we help you?"

"I always dreamed to be an important part of the body." explained Mrs. Nose, "My purpose is simple, I've come to ask you if one of you'll be kind enough to change places with me and that way I'll fulfill my dream."

"A nose? Not important?" replied Mr. Ear. "I've always wanted to be a nose and you don't want to be one?"

"Sorry, but we cant accept the offer. God created us ears and we don't want to be anything else." added Mrs. Ear.

Mrs. Nose had expected that no one wanted to be a nose. She went to speak to Mr. Brain, the chief of the body.

"Greetings, Mr. Brain," Said Mrs. Nose. "I have a problem and thought you might like to help me out." "Very well, what is your problem?" answered Mr. Brain.

"Since I was little, it has been my dream to be a critical part of the body. I've come to ask you if you would be kind enough to either exchange places with me or change me with another part or the body."

"You are a very important part of the body already! But, I cannot accept the offer because I will not be protected being out of the skull," answered Mr. Brain. "And I can't choose what part goes here or there, I only tell them when and how to react."
