A long time ago, there was a famous poet in China named Qu Yuan. He was one of the most loyal ministers of Chu State at that time.

However, the advisors of the Chu emperor were very jealous of Qu Yuan. They said horrible things and made him look bad. The emperor believed them and drove Qu Yuan far away.
然而,楚国皇帝的谋士们却非常嫉妒屈原。他们说了可怕的话,让他看起来很糟糕。皇帝相信了他们,并把屈原赶到很远的地方去。

后来,楚国被敌人打败,国家灭亡了。屈原知道后非常伤心。他决定结束自己的生命。于是,在农历五月初五这一天,他跳进汨罗江自尽。
Later, the state of Chu was defeated by the enemy and the state perished. Qu Yuan was very sad when he found out. He decided to end his life. So, on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, he jumped into the Miluo River and committed suicide.
