One day Coach Co received a phone call.  There was another dog that was in need of a new home.  She said to her dog Lucy "We have a new friend coming to stay for awhile."

Life had not been kind to this dog.  He was mistreated and underfed.  He had never seen a veterinarian, and was very sick.  He had just about given up hope.

The first few days at his new home, the dog was very scared.   Everything was so new and strange to him.  Coach Co asked him "What name would you like?"  She thought the name Pistol Pete fit him nicely.  Pistol Pete agreed,  Lucy and Barbara, Pete's new sisters, thought so too.

Pete loved his new life and home.  He loved chasing squirrels in the back yard with his sisters.

Pete also loved going for long walks to the park, where he would sit and watch the ducks.

Pete was always happy when family came to visit.  Taking naps together was a special treat!  Everyone had so much fun.

Sometimes though, Pete, Lucy and Barbara had a little TOO much fun!  Looks like it is bath time for these muddy pups!
