ESKİŞEHİR

Eskişehir is a city in northwestern Turkey.

 Eskişehir is known for

devotion of arts, natural beauties, unique tastes, 

Eskişehir is an art city. You can see

all kinds of art; theatre, sculpture, 

wax sculpture, glass arts, cinema, music,

 etc.. Also our city is famous for                             museums.

Except the basic Turkish food like kebap, durum, pite, Köfte, baklava and many other, Eskisehir has some of its own unique dishes: met halvah, talkan cookie, boza, okra soup, cabbage wrap and çibörek...

 In Eskişehir majority of the population is Crimean Tatar so the cuisine is influenced by Crimean cuisine. These are some Crimean Tatar tastes; KaşıkBörek, Göbete, Sorpa Soup.

Eskişehir has lots of natural beauties and parks.

And as like all cities, Eskişehir has also historical places... Eskişehir was founded by Phyrgians so the city has lots of Phyrgian figures like Yazılıkaya Monument.

We have lots of traditional costumes and folk dances. Some of folk dances are Çiftetelli and Halkalı Şeker. Some of traditional costumes are Sarka and Bindallı of Eskişehir.
