Short history of kebab
The most famous kebab for us is Döner Kebab, which in Turkish means rotary meat. Initially, levels were practiced, but only in the 19th century the rotisserie was invented. The reason for the changes was theory. So far, still not, who is behind this invention, which went down so deeply in the history of kebabs. He is suspected of being a resident of Kastamonu - Hadi Usta or Iskender Efendi from Bursa. For the one who has always appeared the way of preparing dishes, which has survived to this day, it prepares.

It consists in slicing the meat from a rotisserie, which is then placed in the drink with various additives. The first place in Turkey to serve kebabs like that was opened in 1945 in Istanbul.
In Arab countries, we can still get its original version, i.e. Şiş kebab. Roasted meat, served in the form of a skewer with spices.

Interesing facts
Kebab is one of the most popular fast food in our country. And although there are people who would like it to be of Polish origin - kebab is a dish straight from Turkey. The European version of the kebab is like a mixture of several types of this dish. A standard kebab in the streets of Ankara, Istanbul or Izmir - the one in a roll or in a dough - inside has only juicy meat, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. So where does the yoghurt or spicy sauce come from? On the second version, served on a plate.I am talking about the iskender kebab (this version comes from the city of Bursa).

In it, slices of meat are served with immortal tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, and a large portion of natural yoghurt, and sometimes also tomato sauce. I see! And the Turks do not add cabbage salad inside, it is also our Polish invention. The fries inside shouldn't come as a surprise. The very word "kebab" is simply roasted meat. They can be baked in various ways. In Poland, we usually mean dönerkebap, i.e. roasted meat - beef, lamb - the role of turnover in durum dough or for drinking, with vegetable additives and sauce. But in addition, in Turkey, Iran and Arab countries, there is even talk of oşiş kebabı - shashlik or Adana kebabı - made from minced mutton.
