NORWAY'S
WEATHER

2
Thanks to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, Norway enjoys a milder climate than other parts of the world at the same latitude, such as Alaska, Greenland and Siberia. The coldest areas in winter are often inland or far to the north.

3
SPRING IN NORWAY
From March to May, the days get longer and temperatures rise across the country. The snow begins to melt and forms natural waterfalls everywhere. All this, together with the vegetation in full bloom and the cheerful spirit radiated by the locals, makes the Norwegian spring something special.

4
SUMMER IN NORWAY
DON'T FALL ASLEEP DURING WHITE NIGHTS In June, July and August, the days are long and the nights are short or even non-existent north of the Arctic Circle. There you can admire the famous midnight sun. During the Norwegian summer, the weather is usually quite stable, and temperatures are pleasant, both on the coast and inland.

5
AUTUMN IN NORWAY
In September, October and November the days are shorter, the air cooler, the food tastier and the colors brighter. Autumn is the perfect season for a city break, which in Norway can include anything from a trip to the mountains to a relaxing stay at a spa.

6
WINTER IN NORWAY
In December, January and February, the days are short and the nights are long. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun. Come skiing or admire the northern lights and whales in the Arctic. And the so-called "Viking station" allows you to enjoy the landscapes of the fjords with fewer tourists.

Customs in Norway

Christmas
Christmas is lived with great intensity in Norway, something that is not surprising if we take into account that snow adds a lot of magic to any city in the country. They like to decorate the streets and that makes the stores sell more, but the restaurants also take the opportunity to raise cash by offering typical Christmas dishes that are made with products from the nation, such as the ribbe (pork ribs) and the pinnekjøtt (mutton ribs).
