How Does Scarcity Work?

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom that was being overrun by a variety of pets. 

There were so many pets running around, that you could hardly go anywhere in town without seeing swarms of animals. 

The people living in the town decided that something needed to be done.

Within a week of increased efforts and the community coming together, all the pets were finally rounded up.

Woohoo we did it!

Now only one question rested in the minds of the villagers. What would they do with these enormous amounts of pets? Who would take care of them? To which, they now knew what had to be done...

The villagers adopted them of course! All the pets that were rounded up promptly found loving homes and families to live with. 

When news of this occurrence happened, however, the King was angered by the way that he had not heard of this earlier. His son was in need of a dog, and now there were no more dogs left.
