Once upon a time in the kingdom of Cuglome there was a woman of a beauty almost as great as the moon, unfortunately this woman was very ambitious and could not stand to see anything or anyone more beautiful than her and therefore she hated the night, in fact once it started to get dark she hid in a secret room without windows, the only nights she did not do that were the nights of the new moon because those days the moon could not be seen and all the compliments went to her.

One day she had an idea, she would go to the witch's house to make her much more beautiful than the moon, then on a new moon night she put on a black cloak and went to the witch's house avoiding anyone to see her which was very difficult since the witch's house was at the top of the Puglome mountain and she had to cross the whole city, Just when the woman was about to knock on the door the witch said - Come in Clémence - Clémence, surprised, opened the door, took off her cloak

and sat down on a chair that was in front of the witch's table while she said - O lady witch, I come to ask you to make me more beautiful than the moon - To which the witch answered - I know, but what I don't understand is why a mortal who is more beautiful than all the nymphs of the world together would want to be more beautiful than she already is? - To which Clémence says, "I may be more beautiful than all the nymphs in the world, but I am not more beautiful than the moon! - Then 

the witch looks at her with scornful eyes and says- I will give you something that will help you, it is a potion that I have not yet tried on anyone but I am sure it will help you, but then you must say this prayer "Ego Clemens White Allen promitto dare decorem meum ad lunam cum sacrificio meo."- Clémence gives a look of confusion to the witch but quickly takes the potion and says the prayer without knowing that this would do the opposite of what she wanted, then the witch says- Follow me,
