The Leeds Art Gallery is located on Victoria Square, it is a museum with a collection of British art of the 20th century, which is recognized by the British government as a collection of "national importance". In 1996, the Royal Armory was opened in the Leeds River Docks, it is a national museum, which presents the National Collection of Weapons and Armor.
