Later, when we got more animals and the milk became more, I shared it in Almyros. There were other milkmaids there. But I was the only one in the village.

How did you decide to become a milkman?
My father once bought two crows and slowly managed to make them more.I stopped school in the fifth grade.I started taking the milk, and selling it at home, here in the village.

What jobs did you do?
The jobs I had to do were many. I would get up every morning, just before dawn, to clean the stable and the cows.
We wiped the stable every day with the "iron" because otherwise there was a risk that various diseases would get stuck alive.

Then we washed the animal masters and followed the feeding. While the animals were eating, we milked them in the morning and in the evening. Then we took the milk, drained it with the "bag" and put it in the tins that we boiled every day to disinfect them.

How were the tins?
The tins were somewhat large tin cans, straight on one side to fit on the back and rounded on the other. We tied them with hair and I carried them over my shoulders. ”We called them Gumia.

I was loading the gum and a container for the measurement and I was starting to distribute the milk door to door in the village.
