
One fine, summer day, Minook was painting a picture of the flower garden outside his wigwam. Then his racoon friend came over and asked him what he's painting. " The flower garden over there, " he said, pointing at the garden of beautiful flowers. " Aren't you bored of the plain, white roses? " Asked the birds, who came over to admire the painting. " Yes, they are quite plain. " He replied, too intent on his painting.
" Maybe you could dip your paintbrush in the red paint, and I could take that and paint the roses red? " Bird 1 suggested, and Bird 2 said, " Yeah, that's a great idea! " Minook was elated by that, a new painting idea. " That is certainly a good idea! " He exclaimed. a smile on his face. He dipped his paintbrush into the red paint and sent Bird 1 on her way. While she was gone, he started chatting with the other animals.
" The other flowers were so colorful, the roses just stood out! :" said Deer. Minook nodded his head in silent agreement. " They were the first thing that caught my eye when I moved here from the city. " He said, in reminiscence. " It just looked off, but I shrugged it off. " " I'm back! " Bird 1 chirped in accomplishment. " Want to come take a look? " Everyone nodded vigorously, and took off running
after her. Once they got there, the sight was beautiful. Roses red as blood, going on and on for miles. It was a truly spectacular sight, and Minook took it all in with a deep breath. " Thanks Bird 1 for volunteering, and now the garden looks beautiful and colorful as ever. " Minook honored Bird 1. " Thanks, Minook. " She said, happily. " It was my honor. " And they stared at the red roses together until the sun went down. The next day, Minook went to go find
