Introduction
The Tropical Rainforest is one of the most animal-populated biomes in the world. This biome covers 6% of the world's land.

Locations
Here is a brief overview of the main places that have tropical rainforests.
Central America:
25 degrees north - the Equator, Wet and Warm Climate
South America:
Amazon Rainforest, Enormous trees 90m + Rivers
Africa:
Congo, Guinean Forest, Indonisia
Primarily known for homes to Gorillas, Chimpanzees, and Elephants
Australia: Queensland,
Climate
The climate in tropical rainforests is mostly warm, humid, and rainy. The temperature averages from around 20-34ºC ( 68-93ºF.) The average rainfall is 60-400 inches per year (152-1016 cm per year.)

Animals
There are 4 major categories of animals.
•Mammals
•Fish/Bird
•Amphibians
•Arthropods
I will be explaining specifically about each of these on the following pages.
Mammals
Most mammals migrated from South America. Some examples are rodents, lions, and guanas. Some of these animals migrated up to 6000 years ago.
Fish/Bird
Fish and birds are not uncommon creatures in the tropical rainforest. There is an uncountable amount of freshwater fish, with about 2700 species.
For birds, there are about 1600 species. Parrots, pigeons, cuckoos, and tyrant flycatchers are some examples of birds in a tropical rainforest.

Amphibians

Amphibians are a diverse class of animals, including frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and caecilians. Amphibians are vertebrate animals, and hundreds of millions of years ago, amphibians became the first vertebrates to live on land.
Arthropods
Arthropods are animals that have a hard outside covering called an exoskeleton. There are more than 1 million types of arthropods.

Plants
The world’s tropical rainforests are home to an enormous number of plants. The Amazon Rainforest alone provides a habitat for over 40,000 plant species. Some plants grow more than other plants, and some plants need more nutrients than others, which causes competition between the plants. I will give a short list of plants. Some of them are big, some are beautiful, and some are poisonous/dangerous.
