Delilah Lou loves flowers.
Every day she likes to look at flowers in her backyard and pick a pretty little bouquet of her favorite flowers.
Some days she finds purple flowers, some days she finds white flowers.
Every day, Delilah Lou finds a new beautiful flower in her backyard.

Today, much like every other day, Delilah Lou found a beautiful flower in her backyard.
Her first thought was, "Oh, how I want to pick that flower!"
But Delilah Lou could not pick that flower.
Inbetween Delilah Lou and that beautiful flower was a big giant, sticky webby web spun by Stacy Spider!

Delilah Lou stared at the spider web in frustration.
Delilah Lou could not figure out how she would get that flower.
Then Delilah Lou had an idea!
"How about I ask friend frog to hop over there and grab that flower for me," Delilah thought to herself.
Friend Frog was afraid of spiders, though!
So for Delilah Lou, that was a no-go.

Delilah Lou had another plan.
Since Friend Frog was too scared of the spider web to hop over and grab the flower, she thought she would ask someone else for help.
Hey Buddy Blue Jay! Can you fly over the big sticky webby spider web for me and grab that flower?"
Buddy Blue Jay is afraid of getting his feathers stuck in Stacy Spider's web, so that plan is a no-go.

Delilah Lou has become frustrated and sad.
All Delilah Lou wants to do is pick that pretty flower.
Delilah Lou knows she can not get it, though.
Feeling defeated, Delilah Lou walks into the house.
Everyone notices that she is upset.
"What's wrong with you, Delilah Lou?" says big brother Chris.
"I can't reach the flower I want and it is behind Stacy Spider's big sticky web," says Delilah Lou.
