Once upon a time, on a cold winter time, the animals of the forest woke up to hear some bad news.

An eagle had come to warn them: “Quickly, you must build a shelter for tonight!”

There was a great storm coming. If they spent the night outdoors terrible things would happen. 

The animals split into teams.

In one of them the bear, as the leader, picked only the giraffe and the monkey for their great virtues: the giraffe had a very long neck and could reach all the tall places and the monkey, on the other hand, was the best climber of them all.

In the other group the lion had to team up with the elephant and the lemur, who were the only ones brave enough to face the adventure so they joined forces and set off on their journey.

Luck seemed to be on the side of the bear, giraffe and monkey, as not long after starting their journey they found a pile of wood. The bear, with its amazing strength picked up the wood in the blink of an eye.

Giraffe: “Oh wow, it seems luck really is with us today”

Monkey: “It will be, you’ll see! We make a great team guys!”

The team, satisfied with their first achievement, went to find their next objective.

Meanwhile, the lion, elephant and lemur stopped to discuss what materials they would need and where to find them, which left them with less time to prepare their shelter.

Eventually they decided to find the sturdiest wood they could and a pile of big leaves, which could withstand the power of the rain.

Though they had a good plan, time was ticking and they had not started yet!

Bear’s team, which already had the wood, decided to gather grass to cover the roof of their shelter. With that, they had everything they needed! Though they were a bit short on materials, they started quickly building!

The lion, elephant and lemur started discussing their materials, trying to find the best quality ones for their shelter. Slow and steady they began searching together every nook and cranny of their gigantic forest.

First they got the wood, but they didn’t know which pieces were the sturdiest, so they came up with a great idea: the elephant would hit them to find out.

Lemur: “Hey elephant, why don’t you hit these with all your strength? We need to know which is sturdiest.

Elephant: “Oh, that’s an amazing idea"
