Once there was a dog who had no home, no family, and no friends. This made him really sad. His name was Duke.

Duke decided to go out and search for a home, so first he looked in the forest.

But this house was weird and the people in it were mean.

Next Duke went to the beach and found a tall house. But there was too many stairs and the scary man didn't like dogs.

Duke searched and searched for a place to stay and a family to love but he just couldn't find the perfect place.

Some places had good people to love but nowhere for Duke to stay.

House after house, family after family, nothing felt like a home. Duke was so tired and scared.

Duke was almost ready to give up, but before he did, he went down a path into town to try one more time.

Just then, Duke found it!

The perfect home, with the perfect people to love! They even had another dog for Duke to be best friends with!
